SENIOR ENGINEER

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Geoflux wishes to appoint suitably qualified experienced and appropriately registered individuals for the position of:

SENIOR ENGINEER

Qualification
⦁ Degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical or Hydraulics), Geological Engineering, or Mining /Metallurgy Engineering with specialty in mining geotechnics and/or mineral residue management and or Water Resources or Hydrology
⦁ Registration with Professional Engineering Institution (ERB) and BIE or equivalent.
⦁ Advantageous: Post-graduate qualification (master’s degree) In Hydrology or Hydraulics or in Hydrogeology.

Experience:
⦁ Fifteen (15) years’ experience in similar role
⦁ Extensive experience in Mineral Residue facility design, construction, operation and closure
⦁ Extensive experience in related legal, environmental and techno-economic requirements
⦁ Practical experience with the full range of mine water management disciplines, efficient water usage and flood protection aspects
⦁ Experience with developing annual water management plans and budget; strategic water resource planning
⦁ Significant experience in Goldsim or equivalent operational water balance tools
⦁ Understanding and awareness of emergent technologies
⦁ Well -developed networks with subcontractors
⦁ Demonstrated trach record in working with operational mining, project and supply chain teams.
