TECHNICIAN-CONTROL AND INSTRUMENTATION vacancy at Diamond Trading Company Botswana (DTCB)

This role is primarily responsible for supporting the Senior Technician-Electrical Plant and Facility by ensuring that Diamond Cleaning Plant and DTCB equipment and related infrastructure installations, repairs, maintenance, and care are executed in order to ensure optimal functioning of such equipment. The Technician shall be responsible for facility management, maintenance, examination, testing and repairs as per MQWM Act CAP44:02 regulation 13.2 from time to time as assigned by the supervisor.

Excellent Knowledge of automation and control instrumentation systems. Mining or heavy industry experience. Asset management practices and processes. Risk management and Planning and Organising.

You are required to have National Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Control and Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent qualification. 3 years’ post experience in Control and Instrumentation Engineering or telecommunications and Plant Systems-SCADA work experience. A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage. Must be registered with the Engineers Registration Board.
