WORKSHOP MANAGER – Seapro (Pty) Ltd

A well-established company is looking for a qualified Workshop Manager with Mechanical Engineering qualifications or equivalent, with 5-10 years working experience within the Mining, Utilities, or Industrial sectors.

Job Description

The chosen candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Leading a team 10-15 boiler makers, fitters, technicians, welders, electricians working on multiple inhouse projects and projects at site.
• Job allocation and job flow in the workshop including job scheduling and labour allocation for day-to-day operations.
• Ensuring accurate time management, quality control, management of resources.
• Preparing tenders and quotations for post-sales support, servicing, and installations
• Negotiating service contracts, terms, and conditions.
• Reviewing cost and performance, reporting on budgets
• Ensuring that workshop performance targets are met.

Minimum Education & Experience

• Mechanical Engineering experience and leading teams
• 5-10 years’ experience in successful technical environment / mining experience would be additional benefit.
• 5-10 years’ experience working with pumps, valves, motors, & compressors, repairs, installations, and commissioning
• Entrepreneurial Leadership experience added advantage.
• Botswana Omang essential.

Technical Competencies

• Strong computer literacy is required.
• Competency in Engineering software; including AutoCAD.
• CRM Software competencies.
• A class B driver’s license is mandatory.
• Omang and traceable references.
