purpose
To direct and manage the Bank’s Marketing portfolio, in line with the Bank’s short and long term strategic growth plans. The job-holder will identify and execute strategic marketing objectives for growth within the Bank, and bring more focus to the Bank-client relationship. The focus will be to drive the client-centric growth strategy and business development opportunities and further strengthen the Bank’s ability to deliver value.
experience and qualifications
- A recognized university or professional qualification (business related) e.g. bachelor’s degree in business studies, MBA, B Com. Or the Institute of bankers qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a marketing environment, Banking being an advantage.
Additional information and responsibilitiesadditional requirementsresponsibilities
- Develop, coordinate and implement a marketing strategic for the bank
- Execute a marketing and business development plan to achieve overall business goals of the Bank. Continually assess progress towards these goals.
- Collaborate with other product houses for product development in product design, development and pricing strategies.
- Development of strong relationships with key players in the community
- Service and manage product distribution and cross sell.
- Network and develop relationships with product specialists and collaborate with partners within the FirstRand Group. In particular, work closely with heads of other business units and the branch network to implement the strategy successfully.
- Maintain an appropriate profile within the business community through networking internally and externally e.g. membership to external bodies, attend business forums, interact with the relevant regulatory, political role players.
- Arrange networking sessions, seminars and other activities to build strong relations with customers.
- Developing strategies to grow the business (including through maximizing of cross selling opportunities) and retain key staff in challenging circumstances
- Develop strategies to improve operational and cost efficiencies
- Develop Customer Service Improvement strategies and maintain effective strategic relationships with key stakeholders
- Develop appropriate people management strategies to enhance optimal efficiency.
