Key Responsibilities
- ALTs work alongside Japanese teachers in public schools, helping students learn English language through games, conversation, debates, excursions, and cultural exchange.
- They are not the main teachers, but assist Japanese teachers/they are assistants.
- Moreover, ALTs share their culture (they are cultural ambassadors), broaden young minds, and gain an experience that will change their (ALTs’) life as well.
- ALTs may be assigned to multiple schools, usually working at one school each day, and rotating between their assigned schools during the week.
