AdaptBridge (Pty) Ltd is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Migration Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will support data migration activities across ERP systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of business-critical data. Knowledge of ERP platforms is essential, with SAP experience considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing data migration activities under supervision.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from legacy systems to target platforms.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and report data quality issues, inconsistencies, or errors.
- Document migration processes, mappings, and procedures.
- Collaborate with senior data migration specialists, business analysts, and IT teams.
- Provide post-migration support, including troubleshooting and resolving minor issues. specialists.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent diploma) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Basic knowledge of databases (SQL, Oracle, MySQL) and data structures.
- Familiarity with ETL tools or data migration concepts (training will be provided).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with SAP is a strong plus, but candidates with exposure to other ERP systems (Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, etc.) are also encouraged to apply.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience with Excel, Access, or other data manipulation tools.
- Understanding of data governance and compliance requirements.
