Reporting to the CEO, the incumbent will provide legal counsel as well as company secretarial services to the Commission and the Board, while managing legal and regulatory compliance as well as corporate governance of the BNSC.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate implementation of policies, practices and procedures in line with principles of corporate governance.
- Provide effective legal service
- Facilitate dispute and case resolution
- Drive effective and efficient stakeholder management
- Provide Board secretarial services
- Advice on BNSC legal operational compliance.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB), admitted to practice in the courts of Botswana as an attorney
- LLM would be an added advantage
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries would be an added advantage.
- At least 7 years post-qualification legal experience, of which at least (3) years should have been served in a corporate environment.
