Human Resources Officer-Compensation & Benefits
Reporting to the Human Resources Lead-Compensation & Benefits, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing compensation and benefits administration for all staff and coordinate all programs implemented at Group and local level, as well as ensuring that the implementation of Compensation and Benefits (C&B) are within the HR policy manual and procedures and local labour laws.
Job description
Payroll:
- Prepare payroll for local and international staff. Coordinate with Finance to ensure funds available for timely salary payments.
- Assist to update information, on a monthly basis, on the remunerations, benefits, overtime and deductions of all employees.
- Assist to update and file employee records on a monthly basis to ensure that all records are up to date.
- Prepare information related to C&B for audit and other purposes.
- Contribute to the annual salary survey.
- Prepare data for various audit purposes required by donors and organization audit.
- Support policy development process by providing research on options and assist in Human Resources related change initiatives.
Benefits:
- Manage Benefits administration for local staff based in various locations.
- Manage and administer OBW pension i.e. staff enrolment and payment administration.
- Manage and administer Medical Insurances and payment i.e., Pule medical aid and other private insurances.
- Leave administration.
- Manage Global Staff’s compensation and benefits administration in all office’s locations.
- Manage leave administration, relocation and repatriation of the staff members.
- Periodically review the administration of benefits for global and local positions.
Additional roles:
- Assist and support other HR Team members, e.g., prepare the staff data report/chart.
Requirements
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources Management, Accounting, Business Management, Administration or other related studies.
- 3-4 years’ experience in accounting related field with background knowledge on laws pertaining to compensation and benefits.
- Understanding of payroll software packages – VIP Premier & ESS Application.
