Job Vacancies:
The ICT Specialist is responsible for the strategic planning, coordinating, implementing and security of the school’s ICT systems. The role ensures reliable technology services that support teaching, learning, administration and communication while safeguarding student, parents and staff data.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and implement the school’s ICT strategy, budgeting and planning
- Manage ICT infrastructure (networks, Wi-Fi, servers, cloud systems, CCTV)
- Ensure availability of School Management System (SMS), Learning Management System (LMS) and digital classroom tools
- Oversee system upgrades, backups, disaster recovery and cybersecurity
- Enforce data protection, access control and ICT policies
- Provide ICT support and minimise downtime using service-management best practices
- Manage ICT vendors, contracts and service levels
- Act as ICT liaison for leadership, staff, parents and service providers
- Provide training and guidance to users
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Certificate in Data Protection
- Teaching qualification an added advantage
- Experience in using MacOS, iOS, Android and Windows Operating systems
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar job role
- Experience working in a school or education environment
- Knowledge of ICT governance, data protection and cybersecurity
- ITIL certification or practical IT service management experience is desirable
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Understanding of education systems and digital learning tools
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity
