TEAM Agencies is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Support Specialist to join our team in Gaborone West. The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for all IT-related matters, acting as the liaison between internal departments and external IT service providers. The role requires strong troubleshooting ability, server knowledge, system ownership, and a commitment to data security and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first-line IT support, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, server, and network-related issues.
- Escalate unresolved technical matters to external support partners and manage follow-ups through to resolution.
- Administer, maintain, and monitor company server environments to ensure uptime, performance, and security.
- Manage and support the company’s web-based merchandising application (BeatRoute) training provided where necessary
- Maintain, optimize, and champion the company’s e-commerce platform, ensuring functionality, performance, security, and continuous improvement aligned with business objectives.
- Provide technical support for Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
- Administer and support Facebook Business Manager and digital advertising platforms.
- Maintain and update company hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Implement and uphold data protection, confidentiality, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Maintain accurate IT documentation and system records.
- Train staff on IT systems and promote effective use of technology across the organization.
Requirements
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments and server-based systems.
- Experience in first-line IT support and managing third-party service providers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and cloud-based applications.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs).
- Knowledge of data protection principles and IT security standards.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and digital systems management.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
