Key Responsibilities
- Provide patients with care, comfort and support essential to the clinical procedures and ensure patients’ dignity and privacy is maintained at all times.
- Provide assistance to nurses, doctors and other health care professionals involved in the care of patients
- Ensure patients are assisted in a comfortable, friendly and welcoming environment
- Bed making, damp dusting and disinfection of patients’ rooms.
- Bed baths and care pressure areas.
- Intake: collecting and recording.
- Administer, feeds and inform nurse of patients’ needs.
- Assist patients: compete menus and feeding patients.
- Adherence to all quality standards including SANC/Infection Control protocols.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Unit Manager.
Requirements
- Healthcare Worker Certificate/Diploma or an equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a hospital environment
- Computer literacy or experience with hospital information systems
