Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patients with care, comfort and support essential to the clinical procedures and ensure patients’ dignity and privacy is maintained at all times.
  • Provide assistance to nurses, doctors and other health care professionals involved in the care of patients
  • Ensure patients are assisted in a comfortable, friendly and welcoming environment
  • Bed making, damp dusting and disinfection of patients’ rooms.
  • Bed baths and care pressure areas.
  • Intake: collecting and recording.
  • Administer, feeds and inform nurse of patients’ needs.
  • Assist patients: compete menus and feeding patients.
  • Adherence to all quality standards including SANC/Infection Control protocols.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Unit Manager.

Requirements

  • Healthcare Worker Certificate/Diploma or an equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a hospital environment
  • Computer literacy or experience with hospital information systems
