PASTOR wanted at the Maun Congregation of the Dutch Reformed Church

 

The Maun Congregation of the Dutch Reformed Church in Botswana requires the services of a PASTOR.

Minimum Requirements:

• BA Degree – which Includes at least two years of Greek and Hebrew.
• Th Degree – at a university training Dutch Reformed Church pastors.

OR

• Th Diploma – at a university training Dutch Reformed Church pastors.
• The applicant must be fluent in Afrikaans as well as English.
• The applicant must have at least 10 years’ experience as pastor of the Dutch Reformed Church.

Duties:

• According to the Church Order of the Dutch Reformed Church Botswana;
• Preaching the word of God
• Administering the Sacraments
• The ministry of prayer
• Leading services of worship
• Church teaching. In co-operation with the elders and believers
• The exercise of pastoral care, especially in terms of home visitation, together with the members of the Church Council
• Striving for the extensions of the Kingdom of God
• Acting as chairman of the Church Council

The government, organization, leadership and management of the congregation together with the elders and deacons.
