To drive revenue growth and market leadership within the Government sector by developing and executing strategic sales plans, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering on BTC’s commercial targets.
Key Responsibilities
- To manage and administer firewall environments, including Check Point firewalls, with a focus on configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of site-to-site VPNs.
- Ensure security of online and on-premises infrastructure, filter out malicious traffic and mitigate security risks in a proactive manner.
- To protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all assets and systems through monitoring, detection, and analysis activities derived from logical and physical security log feeds, directly accessed security systems, and ad-hoc reports.
- Collaborates with organizational stakeholders to secure information technology systems for the organization
- To define, plan, implement, maintain security policies and controls, including incident responses and disaster recovery plans
- To regularly provide security surveillance reports and provide insights on the efficiency of prevailing security policies, processes, and procedures
- To always ensure BTC security systems are up to date, including but not limited to assets such as Devices, Operating Systems, Databases, Virtualization Platforms, Firmware, Applications. This is done in conjunction with multi-disciplinary stakeholders and system owners
- To install, configure and manage security infrastructure and applications and platforms e.g. firewalls and antivirus software.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information/Cyber Security or equivalent.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the IT industry.
- Experience in the following will be an added advantage: a) Incident response and forensic, hacking techniques, intrusion detection b) Information system management controls c) Information security core capabilities d) Knowledge of operating systems, Security Information and Events Management (SIEM), EndPoint Protection technologies, Scripting and Automation (e.g. AI/ML)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
- Certified Forensic Detection
- Certified Information Systems Security Operations Certification (CISSP)
