1. CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

Reporting to the Managing Director/General Manager, the role of the Chief Accountant will be to manage, control and implement financial management and accounting systems and procedures to ensure the accurate recording of all financial transactions within in the company.

Roles and Competencies

• To organize the activities of the Accounts Department
• To accurately process, enter and reconcile accounting documents and information to ensure accurate and timely record of financial transactions
• Ability to manage Internal Audit Department
• Ability to work under pressure and willing to work extended hours
• Prepare analysis of information and financial transactions and reports on variance from budget to management and the board
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Compliance with accounting standards, systems and procedures
• Strong computer skills required (ACCPAC, Sage VIP)
• High levels of confidentiality, assertive, decisive and proactive

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of a professional qualification of ACCA/CIMA or CA
• At least 10 years working experience, 5 of which should be at Executive level
