OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Reporting to the Depot Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the depot in compliance with the company Health Safety Security. Environment and Quality (HSSEQ) policy, and other relevant BOL standards and legislation/ regulations

Key Performance Areas

• Bulk product storage and handling
• Depot equipment maintenance, control of works and monitoring
• Adherence to Health. Safety. Security. Environment and Quality standards
• Timeous bulk products receipt and dispatch
• Customer service and service delivery
• Identification and management of risks
• Compliance to depot readiness processes

Qualifications

• Minimum of Diploma in Mechanical. Chemical. Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent
• Membership to a relevant professional body will be an added advantage

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years experience in an oil and gas industry, with at least two (2) years experience in a supervisory role.

Skills/Competencies

• Knowledge and understanding of fuel depot operations and maintenance, with emphasis on applicable maintenance standards, operations procedures and safety requirements
• Knowledge of petroleum products, quality standards and testing equipment
• Commitment and understanding of the HSSEQ Management Systems
• Written & verbal communication and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills
• Proficiency in computer applications
