Assistant Accountant – 2 year contract

Main Purpose of the Job

To provide an effective accounting service in the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, asset accounting, cash management, general ledger and reporting

• Budgeting
• Management Accounts and Financial reporting
• Maintenance of the General Ledger
• Statutory Compliance
• Cash Management
• Asset Accounting
• Preparing Audit file for external audit process
• Building relationships through teamwork and good interpersonal skills
• Maintaining ethical behaviour and best practice in line with the organisation’s standards and values
• Presentation Skills
• Focusing on client needs and ensuring good customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/AAT/Relevant Professional Qualification
• Registration with internationally recognised professional accountancy body e g Botswana Institute of Accountants

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years accounting experience
• 1-year experience in a supervisory role
