RISK AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual to join the team as Risk and Compliance Officer. The main purpose of the job is to ensure that the company complies with all regulatory requirements and internal processes and procedures. The incumbent will also be responsible for: embedding a risk management culture within the business: facilitating the development and maintenance of the company’s risk and control matrices: ensuring that the business is made aware of all applicable frameworks, policies and management tools either via the delivery of training or via timely communication; assisting in the development, implementation and enforcement of policies, procedures and programs designed to minimise potential financial crime risk, within the established strategies: implementing compliance assessment methods and approaches to increase compliance with documented policies and standards in line with the Group Compliance Policy: responding to queries from the regulators and the public

Further, the candidate will be expected to possess critical competencies and skills such as superior knowledge and understanding of trends in compliance and/or risk management, proven experience and track record in this field.

To be considered for this position you will need to possess a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Law. Compliance Management or Enterprise Risk Management or equivalent. At least five (5) years experience in a Compliance or Risk Management role. Experience in the insurance industry will be an added advantage.
