Haemo / Chemo Unit Manager – Bokamoso Private Hospital

The Haemo / Chemo unit manager is a registered nurse who demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and has responsibility of all aspects of the unit, facility operation, patient/family, staff satisfaction and clinical dialysis care. The unit manager will work in a collaborative manner with the nephrologist, registered nurse, billers, stock controllers and other members of the multidisciplinary team to plan, direct and evaluate quality of care rendered to patients and family.

KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Manage skills mix and acuity to ensure cost effective quality care.
• Participate in business planning and budgeting processes and manage nurse costs according to allocated budget.
• Manage stock utilization and drive product management processes within the unit together with relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in recruitment process, including interviewing and selection process.
• Participate and communicate Lenmed Health organizational/ management decisions and policies to staff.
• Conduct the performance evaluation process which includes
• appropriate counseling in relation to performance.
• Manages agency/ locum cost in the unit

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant clinical practice.
• Registration with Nursing and Midwifery council of Botswana.
• Must have basic Computer Skills.
