Key Responsibilities
- Drive activities aimed at achieving new business sales targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the retail market.
- Build and support high-performing sales teams through the recruitment and development of sales agents and brokers.
- Ensure the quality of business written to support customer retention and long-term growth.
- Support intermediaries, partners, and key stakeholders with requests relating to compliance documentation, underwriting requirements, and tender fulfilment.
- Manage and resolve customer, intermediary, and partner queries received through various channels including telephone, email, and walk-in engagements.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with intermediaries and business partners.
- Resolve complaints and manage conflict effectively to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Receive and accurately document sales submissions from intermediaries and partners.
- Ensure Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance requirements are met for all business submissions.
- Liaise with the Operations Department to review and monitor submitted business.
- Provide regular updates on the status of new business, underwriting processes, policy movements, and medical requirements.
- Maintain and regularly update the Sales Risk Register and act as a Risk Champion for the sales function.
- Undertake any other duties assigned by Executive Management in support of the Company’s strategic objectives
- Liaise with the Operations Department to review and monitor submitted business.
- Provide regular updates on the status of new business, underwriting activities, and policy movements.
- Maintain and regularly update the sales risk register.
- Ensure adherence to internal processes, compliance standards, and business requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Certificate of Proficiency (CoP) – Basics of Long-Term Insurance
- Minimum of five (5) years’ post-qualification experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Proven experience in relationship management, sales, and business development.
- Experience working with intermediaries, brokers, and business partners will be an added advantage.
