Position: Factory Manager

FSG Limited is Botswana’s leading funeral services provider with 22 branches across Botswana and with significant presence in South Africa, and Zambia.
Applications are invited from qualified Botswana citizens for the position of Factory Manager tenable at Gaborone.

Purpose Of The Job:

To lead the manufacturing operations with a strong emphasis on woodwork craftsmanship, innovative product design, quality output and continuous process improvement, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products, workplace safety and effective team leadership, ensuring compliance with company [policies].

Minimum Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Wood Machining, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in wood manufacturing, of which 3 years must be at Manager level.

• Strong leadership skills and technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes.

Key performance areas:

• Oversee and participate in advanced woodwork manufacturing processes for coffins, caskets, and related products.

• Lead the design and development of new product lines, ensuring innovation and alignment with market trends.

• Plan, schedule, and supervise production to meet quality and delivery targets.

• Manage raw material and finished goods inventory to ensure availability without overstocking.

• Ensure full compliance with manufacturing health, safety, and quality standards.

• Maintain production documentation and regulatory compliance records.

• Identify and implement process improvements to boost productivity, reduce waste, and improve design efficiency.

• Mentor and lead production teams, fostering craftsmanship excellence and a culture of innovation.
