Job Purpose
The purpose of the job is as follows:
- Improve procurement capability and expertise on basic sourcing, procure to pay, and vendor management disciplines by leveraging the core competencies and centres of excellence.
- Implement and measure the procurement standards, policies and supply chain capabilities across the Source to Pay Lifecycle.
- Implement procurement transformation programmes (system enabling and others) as required across the end to end value chain based on the Source to Pay Capability and Maturity Framework.
- Drive the approval of the procurement policies at the in – country boards and embed the policies in the legal entity.
- Implement and measure the relevant Risk and Compliance frameworks.

- Implement and measure the Delegation of Authority Framework in the required procurement processes.
- Implement effective processes / controls for the investigation of identified instances of non – compliance based on audits conducted.
- Manage and derive cost savings for the Operational and Capital Expenditure in the legal entity.
- Ensure purchase spend analysis and audits take place with a focus on eliminating waste, non value adding supply chain links and optimising Bank’s supply chain process
- Assist with gap analysis of existing Procurement capability and implement appropriate improvements across the sourcing to payments life cycle
Preferred Qualification and Experience
The preferred qualifications and experience of the role are as follows:
- Degree in Procurement, Logistics, Business Commerce or related field
- CIPS Level 5
- MCIPS
- 7-10 years experience in administering procurement processes, policies and systems
