Job Description

The individual that will work on engineering / contruction projects starting with reviewing and editing the Emergency Plan for depots in terms of their compliance with TOTAL Standars.

He/she will then work on proposing a long-term maintenance plan for depot facilities, train the depot teams on how to ensure implementation of compliant maintenance processes in future. Will also assist with maintenance and engineering works (under supervision of an engineer) in service stations as welle as sites in mining operations.

• Preparing documentation, drawings, scope of work and recommendation for execution of engineering and maintenance projects
• Submitting and obtaining local authorities required approvals and prepare and obtain approval for MOC documentations
• To guide the draughtsman or consultants in preparation of the construction drawings
• To participate in negotiating supply of equipment and engineering contracts with the service providers, in collaboration with the purchasing division
• To plan, organise, control and execute field construction activities, within given time and budget
• To be responsible for incorporation of local legislation requirements, Group standards and best practices to all engineering and construction projects

• To effectively monitor and evaluate variations associated with project scope and cost changes
• To provide regular updates to management regarding the projects and providing explanations on any delay with regards to the projects
• The engineer along with procurement appoints consultants and contractors to undertake the awarded work.
• The local contractors require vigilant monitoring, support and guidance these both in terms of service, quality and cost.

The selected candidate will receive a VIE allowance according to the Business France rates and the subsidiary will provide either a furnished accommodation or will grant an accommodation allowance.

Candidate profile

Desired qualifications : A degree with focus on engineering maintenance or logistics and management of petroleum (oil & gas) infrastructure is required.

Languages :
English : Very good level
French : very good level

Technical skills :
Technical skills application within a sales and marketing set up would be required.
Computer literacy and competency to work within a general mechanical and/or maintenance engineering field – can plan, assess and porpose imporvment programmes for maintenance engineering.
