Main Purpose of the Job:
To lead and provide strategic direction to the human capital team and ensure appropriate human capital standards and competence within the business. To provide human capital services to the Business Units and Operations, ensuring application of appropriate leading practices and systems.
Main Responsibilities:
Main responsibilities will include participating in the development of the Bank’s corporate HR strategy and aligning the strategy with enterprise wide strategy. Formulation and Implementation of annual HR plan and alignment of HR department objectives with corporate wide objectives, as well as overseeing and supporting the Human Capital team in the execution of these objectives. The incumbent will also ensure that the bank has enough talent to drive the strategy and that an organization wide retention strategy is in place. He/she will define bank wide performance management policies and processes. Implement, manage and monitor the performance management system with a view to inculcating a high performance culture within the organization. This will include the implementation of training and development programmes, and other initiatives that motivate, identify and develop talent among staff.
It will also be the responsibility of the incumbent, to monitor labour market trends and advise on adoption of progressive remuneration and reward policies to enable the bank to compete effectively for the best talent.
The incumbent will also manage and authorize expenditure within delegated financial threshold, initiate recruitment and selection, performance evaluation, recommend performance-based rewards and handle discipline matters as per BSB procedures. He/she will Implement initiatives to minimize grievances and disputes in the work place.

Qualifications and Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management/Industrial Psychology.
Eight (8) years post qualification experience in a human resource environment, of which three (3) should have been in a managerial position.
The successful candidate will have expert knowledge in Recruitment and Selection, Labour Relations, Performance Management, Compensation and Rewards.
