JOB DESCRIPTION

Granjo Institute, a Botswana Qualification Authority (BQA) registered and accredited vocational school and training center, seeks to recruit highly motivated and experienced, Full-Time Lecturers for our Engineering Departments.

Our branches are in GABORONE, FRANCISTOWN, AND ARTESIA.

• ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION & ELECTRONICS
• REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING
• WELDING AND FABRICATION
• PLUMBING AND PIPE FITTING
• CARPENTRY AND JOINERY

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach and train students in the respective technical fields, ensuring high-quality instruction.
• Install, repair, maintain, operate, and test equipment and systems related to the field of specialization.
• Evaluate and grade students’ classwork, laboratory work, assignments, and projects.
• Prepare and submit reports on students’ progress in portfolio building as required.
• Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required documentation.
• Prepare course materials, including syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
• Participate in various college committees and coordinate related activities as required.
• Assist in developing estimates, schedules, budgets, specifications, and reports.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Practical relevant work experience in the respective technical field.
• National Craft Certificate (NCC) or Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification(s) in the relevant discipline.
• Strong analytical and practical experience in fault finding, installations, repairs, and maintenance.
• Excellent oral, written, and diagrammatic communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear instructions.
• Creativity, innovation, and attention to detail in technical problem-solving.
