Redpath is the world’s premier full-service underground mining contractor. Redpath Botswana are excited to be looking for Underground Miners to fill various roles for the new Jwaneng Underground Mining Development Project.

Basic function of the position:

The role as an Underground Miner is to be responsible for operating equipment according to the site procedures and instructions given by the shift supervisor.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate machinery for development driving, installing ground support, and any other work that is required.

• Complete pre starts on equipment and report on maintenance issues.

• Identify and promote suggestions to increase productivity and/or reduce operating costs. Prepare the workplace for the oncoming shift person to continue operations without interference or obstruction.

Roles available include:

• One (1) Service Crew Trainer

• One (1) Shotcrete Operator Trainer

Minimum qualifications and experience required for this position:

• Underground Decline Development Experience.

• Experience working for a Top Tier Mining Contractor.

• Driver’s Licence, First Aid & CPR certificate.

• Working at Heights certificate.

• Experience with Normet Sprayers and Sandvik Drills.

• Proven Safe and reliable operation of mobile mining equipment.
