IT Solutions Manager

Job Summary

• This role is responsible for the strategic planning, delivery, and support of technology services as well as facilitates the streamlining of enterprise resource planning software such as SAP, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics 365, for businesses in order to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  The role will therefore serve as an in-house subject matter expert for SAP S/4HANA across all user departments, guiding companies on how to use the software for functions like Finance, Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, HR etc.
  This leadership role will also be tasked with the responsibility of overseeing and undertaking user training, system configuration, customisations,Implements,monitors,undertakes performance tuning and root-cause analysis across diverse database platforms, manages intergrations with external systems and optimizes SAP and other software solutions to meet business needs .
  The role further supports the company’s long-term digital transformation and smart infrasture agenda.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee the accounting and ERP software platforms (e.g. SAP, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics 65,).
• Develop and recommend tailored SAP and other software solutions that align with business goals and integrates these with existing systems.
• Configures,supports and optimises SAP FICO, FM,MM and other relevant modules inline with business process.
• Meets with clients to understand their business challenges, processes, existing infrastructure in order to design and develop tailored SAP and other software based solutions.
• Sets up and configures SAP and other software modules, which can involve managing data and integrating new software with the company’s IT infrastructure.
• Creates user manuals and provides training to end-users to ensure successful adoption of the new SAP and other software.
• Tasked with the responsibility of monitoring SAP and other software system performance , performs it’s upgrade and manages user roles and authorisations.
• Provides first hand support and troubleshoots issues and ensures that the SAP and other software systems runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Manage end-to-end service delivery processes and ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIs.
• Evaluates current systems to identify areas for improvement and manages SAP and other software updates to ensure maximum performance.
• Research, design and implement information systems and technology solutions in support of business needs.
• Handles technical related support calls/queries,diagnoses problems,resolves and communicates solutions.
• Evaluates current systems for effectiveness and makes recommendations regarding the scalability of such systems and troubleshoots any problems that arise during the use of the system.
• Takes the lead in the documentation of SAP system landscape as well the documentation of basis procedures and policies.
• Specialises in coding and developing solutions within the SAP and other software environment.
• Tracks and reports on the activities of the technical team comprising of ABAP/Workflow,security ( GRC and authorisations) ABAP developers,Solution Manager,Business intelligence,Process Intergration and Basis)
• Estimate and plan all work effort relating to SAP Basis activities and Technical architecture components.
• Oversee the end-to-end tender process, including bid-no-bid decisions, assembling cross-functional teams, coordinating proposal preparation, and ensuring compliance with client requirements and internal standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Informations Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of SAP hands on experience of implementing and support.
• SAP certification is added advantage
• Extensive experience with SAP administration.
• Expert in SAP software, including SAP Solution Manager Configuration, SAP workflow, SAP security and authorisations, Data Migration,SAP FIORI etc
• Ability to oversee implementation and support of SAP software Project Implementations.
• Ability to analyze complex business problems and develop effective technical and functional solutions.
• Ability to manage project timelines, coordinate with different departments, and handle change management.
• A strong understanding of business processes across different departments like Finance, HR, IT and Supply Chain etc.
